Jana Meyer, IPZV-licensed Class B Trainier now taking reservations for training, lessons and clinics for Spring and Summer 2008! Our mission is to breed Icelandic horses of superior character, conformation and rideability, appropriate for family pleasure riding and capable of achieving first prize evaluations. We also have a special fondness for the pinto coloring.
We believe that the character of the animal is the most important attribute in selecting a horse which will, after all, become a member of your family. Specifically, your horse should be willing, manageable, eager to please, friendly and obedient. These attributes are largely based on genetic disposition and early handling and training. This is why the parentage of the horse you select is critical. We breed only a few foals a year and occasionally have youngsters or trained horses for sale. We also offer stud services for registered Icelandic mares with our outstanding first prize, five-gaited stallion, Tjaldur frá Hólum. Tjaldur is the son of honor stallion Kolfinnur frá Kjarnholtum I and grandson of honor stallion Hrafn frá Hóltsmúla. Live cover and shipped semen services are available.
