Tjaldur fra Holum, son of honor stallion Kolfinnur fra Karnholtum, ranked in the top 10 of six-year-old Icelandic stallions in the world when he was evaluated in Iceland in 2003.   He is still one of the top Icelandic stallions in North America with a total conformation score of 8.33 and a score for ridden abilities of 8.39.  

 

Tjaldur is a wonderful gentleman, with his rider and his mares, a consummate showman having appeared in many Pfizer-Fantasia shows in both Massachusetts and Ohio, and although not homozygous, he does tend to pass on his beautiful pinto colouring over 50% of the time.
